Kyle Spence is a Visiting Assistant Professor that will teach the M.Arch. Thesis Studio in Fall 2021. Spence most recently played an instrumental role as an Architectural Designer at Grimshaw Architects, where he led superstructure and interior design teams for the Dubai World Expo 2020 Sustainability Pavilion project, the Newark Airport Terminal One project, the John F Kennedy Airport Master Plan Redevelopment, and the Herbert Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence project on the University of Florida’s campus.

Kyle previously taught at the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and served as a guest lecturer and visiting design critic at Columbia University, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, Howard University, and the School of Visual Arts (SVA), among other esteemed higher-level design institutions. Kyle received a Bachelor of Architecture from Howard University in 2011, his Master of Science in Advanced Architecture
