The Florida Indian Youth Program (FIYP) visited us on Monday, July 21. As part of the Florida Governor’s Council on Indian Affairs program, FIYP hosts American Indian, Native Alaskan and Native Hawaiian teens aged each July in Tallahassee. The intensive, 2 week, away-from-home educational experience contains 4 main components – academic skills, job skills, life skills and social and cultural activities. With their Training Coordinator Rick Whitfield, the students have visited us for the last 3 years. Thank you Rick.
