CONGRATS FAMU M.Arch. Alum Daphne M. Florán-Meléndez, AIA, a Phase I Winner and Finalist for the 2021 Forge Prize. Florán-Meléndez of Lockwood, Andrews, & Newnam, (Houston, TX)). designed a pedestrian multi-purpose complex that would rejuvenate an abandoned Tallahassee site, using steel-framed housing units that are stackable so the complex can grow vertically as needed.
